In the OMEC, we seek to promote, project and disseminate research and knowledge transfer in our field of expertise. By proposing solutions, we prevent and mitigate the impact crises can have on sustainable development. This unique perspective integrates the economic, political, social, environmental, and management fields.
Therefore, our research area is divided into three categories:

Modular System of Economic Intelligence
This system obtains, processes, and disseminates information in order to know, understand, and anticipate current and future environmental changes — preventing risks, seizing any opportunity, and exercising an ethical influence in decision-making.
Financial Inclusion Monitor in Mexico
Given that its purpose is to monitor the integration of the financial system in Mexico, it uses the following indicators:
- Access to and use of formal financial services,
- Operation under appropriate regulation with consumer protection schemes and financial education, and
- Contributions to improve the financial capabilities of all segments of the population, in a stable and competitive market context.
From an economic, political, social, and environmental point of view, the OMEC generates statistics and information on issues related to the crisis and offers alternative solutions.
These include specific interventions, public policy recommendations, management, and social action.
Books, periodic reports, indicators, research studies, database updates, statistical tables, working papers, and articles can be consulted from these materials.
